Our collaboration with the organic pioneer Mahler & Co. is a shining example of how joint commitment can lead to remarkable progress in terms of ecology and sustainability. The printed hang tags are fully Cradle to Cradle Gold certified thanks to our joint efforts.

Future-oriented start

When our partnership began, this was already a significant step in the right direction. Our paper and inks were already Cradle to Cradle Gold certified. However, the initial use of a lamination film to seal the labels to the pouches presented us with challenges. Both partners were not completely satisfied with this solution and worked together to find improvements.

Continuous optimization

Thanks to our joint commitment, we were able to replace the laminate with a special lacquer. After intensive testing and optimization, we finally achieved Cradle to Cradle Gold certification for this lacquer as well.

Fine-tuning for maximum sustainability

But that was not the end of our ambitions. Through continuous testing and adjustments, we were able to further reduce the amount of lacquer used and now only use a small partial strip. This means minimal use of materials with maximum sustainability.
